As lot of people across the country know, strong winter storms and extreme cold are rolling across the parts of the US right now. In my area, the snow has largely stopped but the wind is whipping what snow there is around pretty good. We’re still under a blizzard warning until 6 o’clock tonight, and then the REAL bone-numbing cold sets in for a couple of days, with a predicted low tonight of -15 F and a high (yes, high) tomorrow of -7 and wind chills predicted at -40. As the old timers say, it’s weather not fit for neither man nor beast.
We’re hanging in there just fine, though. Power’s stayed on. No frozen pipes. Wife’s making her mom’s Forgotten Stew so it’ll be ready for dinner tonight (been ages since we’ve had it, looking forward to it). And we have no particular reason to venture out into this mess for the time being.
So, how are things in your neck of the woods? Staying warm? Check in in the comments!
