Post-mortem
After the dust cleared and the tears dried, some perspective here
Tadej Pogačar — what does the future hold for him? More wins, for sure, but a period of dominance? We shall see.

Mark Cavendish — whether he returns next year to take another shot to top Eddy Merckx’s record (now tied), the consensus is that he is simply the greatest all-time sprinter
Wout van Art — His spectacular upset of Cavendish, not to mention a great overall Tour, have raised his profile as a potential challenger to Pogačar (both are great all-around cyclists) and if he gets past the Olympic COVID gate-keepers, a win in Tokyo against Pogačar would help to solidify his position. Stay tuned.
