I am so SICK of this idea that journalists have to be “neutral”. Where facts are all put through politics. “Did we land on the moon. We will have Tucker Carlson who has new evidence we didn’t and James Carville arguing we did”.
Then neutrally writing after the fact what people said, not who is right, but what they said. And that is “accuracy”.
I rarely go anywhere but here online. I went to CNN today for some reason. They have an article about Mueller’s testimony on their front page that has infuriated me (for some reason).
This first paragraph just made me lose my mind (maybe it’s just a bridge too far)
www.cnn.com/…
Robert Mueller's long-awaited public testimony next month will give Democrats their best and perhaps last chance to seize on the Russia scandal to try to inflict a decisive political wound on President Donald Trump.
I am screaming. I don’t think I need to explain this but . . . Democrats last chance to “seize” on the Russia “scandal” and select a “POLITICAL WOUND”???
Not hey America needs this and I Don’t know this isn’t a political sideshow? It’s about Serious illegal conduct, coverups, and abuses of power!
Other paragraphs because Mueller is just of course a political tool to alter public opinion by the conspiracy:
The appearance also has the potential to significantly reshape the debate among Democrats over whether to open impeachment hearings, a step so far opposed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who fears a political backlash.
Did Pelosi say that? Or anyone in her office? I guess the idea this is the last chance for a gotcha moment sells more. I just hate in this instance some facts some quotes and then casually stating what someone IS thinking as obvious like it’s obvious only the Democrats care about Mueller’s testimony and it’s the last chance to hurt him on Russia (like he’s just fine as it is and it’s spit-balling).
I don’t put much thought into it, or haven’t but the best way to ensure Trump is covered for the Criminal he is is to demand better press.
I don’t know how. Can you comment or contact the author’s bosses I mean this article is crap.
Sorry I have no idea why this (in particular) made me so frustrated.
