I followed a link from someone's comment, which of course I can't find now, to a Politifact summary page for Scott Walker. I thought it might be fun to make a table of all the candidates, sorted by an overall "Truth rating". I computed a truth rating as a percentage by weighting candidates statements rated "True" at 100%, Mostly true 75%, Half true 50%, Mostly false 25%, and False or Pants on fire 0%. The rating is then computed by dividing by the total number of rated statements for each candidate. Only one candidate, Jim Gilmore, didn't have any rated statements, so I assigned him a rating of 50%. I was going to weight the pants on fire ratings at -25%, but I decided to just show the total of those ratings in the table.
I wanted to create another table with ratings from Kessler's Fact Checker blog, but it's not as nicely catalogued and I didn't care to undertake it manually. (Probably too much of a GOP slant anyway.)
The resulting table appears below.
