A San Diego County school district may continue to offer Yoga as an alternative to traditional Physical education. That is the ruling of the Fourth District Court of Appeal in San Diego. The classes teach only the various exercises and postures, to enhance strength, flexibility & balance.

Regardless of the purely secular nature of the classes, Stephen and Jennifer Sedlock and their two children had brought a lawsuit claiming that teaching yoga promoted Hinduism and inhibited Christianity. This makes sense, because yoga is not Christianity and is connected to the orient.
The greatly disappointed Sedlocks' are currently considering what options are available to them to save western civilization from the hobnailed sandal of secular yoga in our schools. Using that special alternative form of knowing available to the religious, and their attorneys, attorney Dean Broyles pointed out that:
"No other court in the past 50 years has allowed public school officials to lead children in formal religious rituals like the Hindu liturgy of praying to, bowing to, and worshipping the sun god,"
