Ok - a bit "off" as a diary, but a comprehensive portfolio of message that I hope is embraced ....
whether you think Warren or Bernie or Veep Biden would be a good, better or best candidate from the Dem side for 2016. And whether you think the whole Krugman / others meme about Iraq was a crime (not a mistake) will die a quick mainstream media death since it is third rail journalism for anyone but MSNBC hosts.
So here goes - Does it seem to you that Hilary has got her A game warming up in the bullpen a little bit here??
- Listening tour already leading to policy positions (heroine issue).
- Great answer to press on e-mails in general.
- Great answer to e-mails with Blumenthal.
- Good answer - on heels of universal Gooper candidate meltdowns - on Iraq war authorization.
....to name a few recent ones.
And btw - kudos to the diarist that showed the top 20 - 30 policy issues / concerns of the American people contrasting with the media questions presented to Hilary. Maybe she should open any future press Q&A with "i'll take the first question on any topic from the most recent (Gallup / USA Today / ABC News) poll that is part of the list of things the American People actually care about." Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Now ad to that the recent coverage of Krugman / others pushing hard to stop the media and other outlets from re-writing history about the fact that the Bush administration LIED US INTO WAR. In that context, is it a bridge too far to hope that Eric Holder volunteers for the International Criminal Court and arrests Dick Cheney for war crimes the moment he steps off of American soil? Ultimately clearing the way for the Wolfowitz crowd to be charged with treason or sedition domestically?
One can only hope....
Of course, and I'll be repeating this through 2018 with every diary written...
All of this is just wetting our pants in a dark suit until such time as the Democratic Party operatus can reliably and frequently motivate 80% of the country to get their ass off the couch and VOTE in every Federal and State election.
