So summer is here, and there are plenty of lovely walks through your neighborhood. But motivation is melting away in the heat. What do you do to overcome your apathy?

I've come to the belief, myself, that it takes creating your own motivation every day to keep going with exercise and whatever diet plan you use to get in better shape. Whether it's just the desire to stay in my new size 8 clothing, wanting to do even better speeds when I walk today, or even keeping up with my energetic bird flock, I have to find a reason every day to keep up what I'm doing.
And it can't be applied from outside. There are people who have asked me if I could "get" others in my real life to do what I've done. Nope. I can't. Only you, yourself, can decide to get in better shape or not. I'm perfectly happy to help where I can with advice, but I can't make anyone else get in shape. I can tell you that if you decide to, you can do it.
Lovely June weather here and through next week, so I hope to get out into some of it and take a walking trail with my husband. What are your plans?
