I'm not someone who burrows through youtube on a regular basis sampling music videos looking for interesting stuff. In fact, I'm completely out of touch with current pop music, except for the unavoidable. However, in the past couple weeks, a couple very cool music videos have been brought to my attention. Come on inside to take a look.

First up is Walk Off the Earth's cover of "Royals." My friend Katie brought this one to my attention. I had already corrupted her by introducing her to Sacred Harp singing, but she has now followed me in pursuit of learning how to play the ukulele. As such, she has been exploring ukulele music available on the internet, something I don't have the time to do. Walk Off the Earth's performance is very fun to watch, and if you wonder how they manage to do it, there's link to a "behind the scenes" video at the end. Be sure to look for the entrance, and exit, of the dijerido-ist.
Next up is OK Go. You may have already seen this. I stumbled across it when it was featured as the daily Mental Health Break at Andrew Sullivan's blog. OK Go has done any number of amazing music videos, but as I was watching this one, it suddenly struck me, wait, this is a single-shot video, and, wait, what is the camera doing...?
It's not completely true that this video was unedited--they clearly speed up the time in certain portions--but it's still all a single shot.
Not much in the way of bright or original though on my part, but I think it's fun. Hope you enjoyed it.

Although it posted too late to make Weds. TC, this comment by tmservo433 in navajo's update on the DK-backed GOTV campaign on SD Indian reservations needs to be repeated non-stop until it is imprinted on every single mind. It would probably make a pretty great handout, too.

If ever there were a top comment, this is it, by Doctor RJ, from cfk's bookflurries/bookchat diary.
From JayRaye:
This comment from Satya1, from guavaboy's recommended post About Kaci Hickox and her nursing license Oct 30 2014.
Kaci is a working-class hero who ran towards danger instead of away from it.
And now that she is home, she deserves to be treated with the utmost respect.
There is no reason for panic. Give the healthcare professionals what they need to safely care for Ebola patients and they will stop Ebola in its tracks.
From coquiero:
Village Vet defines "personhood". It's funny 'cause it's true. From elsaf's post Pro-Choice vs. Pro-Life, a matter of definition.
From your humble diarist:
I have to second aaraujo's wish for the GOP presidential primaries, from Jed Lewison's front page post Ted Cruz slaps the dreaded 'Dole-McCain-Romney' label on Jeb Bush.
