Having a ten-year-old computer? All kinds of fun.
So let's talk about exercise. I actually am one of those rare people who loves it. Years before I actually lost weight, I exercised anyway. I don't know if the way I feel equates to the elusive "runner's high" I hear about, but I love the way I feel when I do. How about you?
Daily Kos Weight Loss is a community at Daily Kos dedicated to weight loss, maintenance, and support. As with all communities, trolls are calorie-free and will be munched should they engage with us. Please feel free to jump, jog, skip, dive, or walk in.
I managed to get to 5 mph walking yesterday again. There's nothing like feeling yourself moving as fast as you can, breathing effortless, and wishing you could just keep moving into forever. At least for me.
According to Gina Kolata's book Ultimate Fitness, people vary in their responses to exercise, too. Some love it, some never will, and some barely respond at all. I can't imagine that, but then again, I won't have that experience because apparently I am very responsive to exercise. I delight in moving ever-faster, pushing my limits, beating the pants off my old times walking, and so on.
How about you? Have you ever loved the movement so much you pushed your boundaries and delighted yourself? Do you doubt anyone can? How does exercise fit into your life, if at all?
142 on the scale. Feeling great this morning physically. Cockatiels nesting in the box, budgies bathing and splashing everyone within reach while socializing and encouraging each other to bathe and splash. How about you? :)
