Remember when Boehner complained about having to go mano a mano with the President?
CBS News
As House Speaker John Boehner left his ceremonial office building and was walking through the Speaker's Lobby surrounded by his security detail, he expressed his frustration with the ongoing debt debate gridlock. CBS News' Jill Jackson overhead the Speaker say: "I didn't sign up for going mano-a-mano with the President of the United States."
Yep, Marco Rubio didn't sign up for it either.

Mano a Mano
That is why Marco Rubio, Junior Senator, two years in the Senate, had the nervous, scared, thirsties. To everyone else, even his advisors and friends, it was a prepared speech, something he excels at.
To Marco Rubio, he was going up against the President. This was a rebuttal to the State of the Union address by the President, and he knew he was not in that league.
President Obama may be black, and they may hate him, but he is still the goddamn freaking President of the United States of America.
Only Rubio knows how intimidated he was.
