Whether you understand any French at all or not, but would like the opportunity to listen to Les Misérables in the original French, then read on...
Since I started the Misérables series, a handful of people have told me that they understand French, some more, some less, or that they have studied French, a more or less long time ago.
Some welcome the opportunity offered by this project to brush up their French. We provide you with some basic tools to do so... See below the misérable croissant.
You probably already know about the French <=> English edition of Les Misérables that we are slowly putting into place.
A couple of days ago, one of you asked me whether there was an audiobook in French. I didn't know, so I searched and I was pleased to find a freely available audiobook with the integral recording of the whole novel (187 hours of mellifluous French for your listening pleasure).
You can download it from the following web site:

The book is read by a volunteer for a French non-profit association. As such, the mp3 are freely available. I sampled the reading of the first chapter, and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a very good audiobook, so I am sure some of you will actually enjoy this additional opportunity to improve your French.
I have referenced this new find in the wiki page for the translations and editions of Les Misérables.
As always, let me know of additional resources that should be added to the wiki, or, better, if you are already registered at minguo, you may alternatively edit the wiki directly.
