Hi,
My recent civic action has centered around TheArts@311, an artists collective that my friend Carl has started in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I am on the board so I get to sponsor shows like Jazz Thursday and the recent Keith Sykes show. These songs were recorded at Knock Off Friday, an acoustic/roots jam session we have each month.
Hairy Larry and George Live at TheArts@311
A Hairy Larry original, "Ride Me To Heaven" sandwiched between two classics from the sixties. Mike "Zif" Lovell on pedal steel, Hairy Larry acoustic guitar and vocals, George on bass and vocals with guest guitarists David Shade and Bluescaster, Paul Nunis. Video production by Mike Lovell, video post by Hairy Larry. This set was recorded on August 10, 2012, part of a roots/acoustic jam session at TheArts@311 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Keith Sykes is an amazing performer, producer, and songwriter. He's so cool that he'll come and play in your living room. And at the end of his tour he was nice enough to stop in Jonesboro and play for us at TheArts@311. Here's a living room show he did.
Keith Sykes Living Room Concert
Well it's not too protesty so far except for the Dylan and the Van but I'm gonna fix that now by pimping these diaries from the Protest Music Group. I mean this stuff is serious.
Springsteen, Pink Floyd, and Michael Jackson had more to do with tearing down the wall than Reagan
The 1% and the republican party have been declining for a long time!

If you are interested in joining Protest Music just send a request and I'll see you get an invitation.
I am also calling out all musicians on DailyKos to get in touch with me, whatever your favorite genre, we always like to feature kossacks on Protest Tuesday.
Thanks,
Hairy Larry
