Former Army Ranger Jessie Macbeth gives Pepperspray Productions a devastating glimpse into the realities of our war in Iraq. This young soldier's affect in the clip provided seems that of a man who has been profoundly traumatized. Watch it
here and judge for yourself.
More on the other side.
At the height of the Vietnam War, the Vietnam Veterans Against the War held the Winter Soldier Investigation, exposing American war crimes through the testimony of veterans. At the subsequent Dewey Canyon II demonstration, thousands of veterans cast their medals onto the Capitol steps in a gesture of rage and revulsion.
What of today's winter soldiers, traumatized, full of self-loathing and afflicted with untreated psychological damage? They must have a platform from which to tell what they know, to reveal the memories that will haunt their dreams forever.
If Macbeth has commited the acts he has confessed to here, he has been made a war criminal by an indifferent nation, his commanders, and, most of all, by his commander in chief. Macbeth will suffer for the rest of his days. Bush and his lackeys must be punished!
