In exerpts from
Jose Canseco's upcoming book, Canseco charges that he actually shot steroids into Mark McGwire...
and he personally witnessed McGwire and Jason Giambi shoot each other up (isn't that a major Aids-spreader?).
After admitting that he turned Rafael Palmiero, Ivan Rodriguez and Juan Gonzalez onto steroids, he said George W. Bush "had to have been aware" of rampant steroid usage on the Rangers.
The White House didn't comment except to note that W. called on baseball to eradicate steroid usage in the 2004 SOTU address.
Of course, this is Jose Canseco, here. He claimed to have been black-balled from baseball, right after the White Sox signed him to a minor league contract with an nivitation to spring training, and an opportunity to make the major league club.
It does make one wonder, though. Did George Bush know about steroid use on his ballclub? He says that the greatest mistake he made was in trading Sammy Sosa, which he didn't, unless he wasn't so hands-off. With W being an ex-athlete, one would have to notice the insane growth of these guys over a winter. If W kept any eye on his "investment", he knew.
Maybe part of W's problem today is that he's in the later throes of steroid usage, himself. Maybe his aggressive behavior comes from he and Cheney shooting each other up before press conferences.
I think we need a special counsel.
