In the Gettysburg Address, President Lincoln declared our "government of the people, by the people, [and] for the people." We believe "by the people" mandates our citizens the responsibility to finance all government elections. We also believe the Gettysburg Address is an appropriate template for the American Constitution. We petition the government of the United States to pass the following rules and regulations to our election process.
The petition:
1. No businesses entity whether private, corporate, for profit, or non-profit may contribute to any government election without prior secret ballot approval by a 51% majority of shareholders or organization membership. The contributing entity is required by law to show proof of a fair, free-will, and anonymous voting process.
2. Controlling board members will be held personally liable for breaking this law with fines, incarceration, and/or probation. Fines to be equivalent to amount spend on non-sanctioned political advertisement.
3. All campaigning by any businesses entity must include a clear and a highly visible declaration of their sponsorship.
