By now you've probably heard of those federal military "exercises" scheduled to happen in the great state of Texas. Folks in the state are alarmed.
The governor, in his wisdom, is directing the state guard to monitor those exercises. Ted Cruz has made inquiries. Rand Paul said he'll check into the situation.
Meanwhile, people on the left end of the political spectrum have been dismissive of those concerns. Some on the left have even gone so far as to treat those concerns with a certain lack of respect. I myself didn't pay heed to the warnings in my inbox.
Not any more.
While I'm not a reporter I've seen them on TV. Just yesterday I was in a local watering hole - there I met a most interesting person. I can't reveal this person's name or rank but, trust me, it's impressive. After plying this un-named military source I found out... it's NOT just a military exercise! I was shocked. I was afraid. The federal government is going to do something AMAZING down in Texas!!!
Only Chuck Norris, Ted Cruz, Greg Abbot and Rand Paul had it backwards.
The feds are not going to take over Texas. The feds are going to kick Texas out!!!
It's true!
We've heard about the movement to kick out the red states. After all, they're red because they're the blood sucking leeches draining waaaaay more than their fair share of money from the federal government. Texas used to be the only one holding their own but now, with oil prices collapsing, Texas has joined in siphoning funds away from the feds.
So the feds want to make an example of Texas! It's true! Or it could be true! Close enough.
They're not moving in they're moving out! It's like when you get your friends with trucks to help you move - that's it. And there will be free pizza to all the troopers doing the big move.
That's not all. You might have heard talk of the big fence going up on the southern border - well, it's going up around Texas! That's right! The west, north and east borders of Texas will have a big ol' fence keeping them out of the U.S. of A.!
So Greg Abbott, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Chuck Norris had it right - at least half right. Maybe that's just close enough.
