March 16-31, there were
61 people killed by police. The deaths happened in 28 different states, the highest totals coming from California (13), Arizona and Florida (4 each), and 3 apiece in Alabama, Ohio, and Oregon.
36 of the cases involved suspects armed with a gun, 6 involved domestic violence, and 10 involved clear mental health issues. Six people killed were brandishing a knife of some sort, and four were still in their cars when they were shot and killed.
Two police officers were killed by suspects during this timeframe.
