Okay, I've been around long enough to know that this brief diary is likely to get me labelled a "concern troll." But I can't help it. I think far too many here are underestimating the GOP clown car. Since the end of WWII, American voters have only once let one party keep the White House for more than 2 terms without switching to the other major party. That one time is when the 1st George Bush rode Ronnie Ray-gun's coattails to a single term presidency.
Bill Clinton had an approval rating in the 60s when he left office, but Al Gore still had a narrow enough victory that JEB! and the Supremes could steal the election in 2000. I like POTUS Obama and voted for him 3 times (including '08 primaries), but I wouldn't take any bets that his approval rating is above 50 by Sept. 2016. 2nd terms are hard on 2-term presidents.
And the American people are gullible. PLEASE quit underestimating the likes of Cruz, Walker, Paul, and, especially JEB! Because an attitude of "We've got this," will lead us to disaster. I get nightmares thinking of any of these fools in the White House. The nation barely survived Shrub the SonofaBush. I tremble to think what would happen with even ONE term under JEB!, Walker, Paul, or Cruz. I'm too old to become a refugee to Canada, folks.
