Hillary Clinton just posted her first Tweet since the email story broke a few days ago:
Obviously she could be totally full of beans here, but "optics"-wise and all that, this strikes me as a pretty shrewd move. Not only is she using the "take my case direct to the people" route, she's doing it via Twitter, which is about as "direct" as you can get these days.
Plus, it ties in nicely with the "Texts from Hillary" meme.
UPDATE: I think people are misunderstanding my point.
I'm not saying that she's out of the woods. For all I know, this email thing will hurt her badly, and perhaps it should (I haven't decided that yet myself).
Personally, I've saved every single legitimate (non-spam) email that I've ever sent or received to/from anyone since 1995 (yes, it takes up like 40 GB or so).
I'm just saying that as a strategic move it struck me as being nicely done, that's all.
