It sounds like he's coming home soon.
Last Thursday, after an impatient outburst where he yanked out his breathing apparatus and his feeding tube, he decided that eating was a good thing. He began to nurse, and to take normal feedings at normal times. No more sleeping through hunger pangs! Cry for that food! He cries; babies need strength to cry.
He's had his car seat check; his prescriptions have been filled. We're all waiting for the doctor's OK, and then the little boy can finally come home and meet his big sister, and sleep in his own bed.
This is by no means the end. They want to do heart surgery at 3 months; he's almost a month old now. That might not be the only problem. But when he was born, we weren't sure he'd survive until Christmas, and here he is.
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts and efforts. They worked. And if you want to bank some for the future, I don't mind.
Great Orange Satan. Suuuuure. {{{{{Hugs}}}} to all of you.
