I have been touched by this story like so many others here. Certainly this is a heartbreaking tale, to have so much and then to lose so much. How wonderful, though, that you found each other, and knew the bliss of true love -- love that sends you to the moon and yet also steadies you, whole and complete, on Mother Earth.
Martin Luther King, Jr., offered that the arc of history is long but bends toward justice. As you face this situation, I hope you are touched with the joy of realizing that the arc of GMB02's life bent toward love, it bent toward joy, it bent not toward solitude but toward togetherness. And I hope you are proud and awed by the knowledge that you were chosen to guide him in these last months, that he left this earth whole and complete and right, with you by his side. You must be something special to have been given this role.
You are strong and able, and your love will endure. I am thinking of you both.

I know it's the middle of the night where you both are, but I want you to know that both of you are in my prayers. I'm hoping and praying that some doctor like House materializes out of no where and just fixes things.
I so envy the love that the two of you share together and with so many of us. I hope you have been a mentor to a lot of gay people who have been afraid to give themselves to someone they love. We who are gay have come so far in reclaiming our humanity thanks to people like the two of you - and Bill in Portland Maine and Common Sense Mainer. I know of kids in the midwest who lurk here and I know both of you have helped them by example.
It's a tough night. We're pulling for you - both of you - and all those who love you.
