Here's a fun game for you when you're watching tonight's convention. It's kind of like "Where's Waldo, but your mission is to look at the buttons on the lapels of convention delegates as the camera pans by, looking for this button:
I call the game "Where's Joe?" and I spotted a few in the crowd last night among the Delaware delegation, of all places! Coincidentally, they have a favorite son named Joe, too, but this button is for the campaign of Dallas County Treasurer,
Joe Wells...
Joe Wells is your typical Democrat, handed a pretty tough job, but rising to the challenge of updating the County Treasurer's department, making it modern, efficient and computerized. Joe was first elected in 2006, then re-elected in 2010. Though he's not up for re-election this cycle, he's serving as a delegate to the Democratic Convention, and brought those buttons with him!
Tonight, that other Joe from Delaware will take the stage tonight, and you might see some people cheering him while wearing OUR Joe's button.
That's okay. Their Joe is pretty cool, too.
