Good Sunday morning everyone!
Those of you who have known me for a while here on Dkos know a few things about me by now I bet. You know my taste in music for sure. You know that I have a son, a daughter, 2 dogs, and a cat that I love very much. You've probably also figured out that my primary goal in life is to spend it loving my wife the very best that I can. You've probably become familiar with my sort of oddball sense of humor. You know that I love to cook and that I have a pretty strong distaste for the self-fullfilling and counterproductive nature of pessimism. You've probably also figured out that I am somewhat vertically challenged and that I do NOT believe in the supernatural.
You've probably figured out: That I am in semiconductor manufacturing. That I live in Arizona, but I really want to live in Charleston, South Carolina. I like to take my children and wife to enjoy adventures together as a family. I believe in love, both the devoted love and partnership that makes sharing an entire life with another person the most enriching experience possible and the kind that says that a stranger crying on a park bench deserves my concern and help if I can provide it and which says that everyone else's rights and well being are as important as my own.
You may know that my son will start school in a matter of months and I am bummed about the time apart that is coming our way. You may have learned that I grew up in Ohio or that my older brother just moved to Key West. You may know that I feel very guilty about being this far away from my father or that my wife is developing her cake decorating skills.
I can think of only one clue that I have provided (in the form of a vacation photo that I posted) about something else that I will share today. It's not an important piece of information. You can relax. It's nothing heavy. I am just setting up a fun topic for this week's diary.
Ready?
I love humorous/stupid tee shirts! I do! This week was exceptionally busy at work. By 'exceptionally' I mean FREAKIN' RIDICULOUS!!! So, in order to decompress and avoid committing any homicides not in keeping with my love of my fellow humans, I spent a bit of my break time checking out wise assed tees on the internets.
Here are some of my favorites. I know they're dorky, but I am who I am. (My wife's a dork too. The kids don't stand a chance.) ;-)

Good for traveling:
Just plain classy:
Alright, alright! I will stop now and I'll try to make it up to you with some good tunes. My bad.
I am not really all that big on the Doobie Bros, but this one's good:
Luther Allison had so much soul!
Speaking of performers with TONS of soul:
Gotta go a little bit more upbeat now.
Looking for a chateaux, 21 rooms, but 1 will do...
man smart, woman smarter
I've heard is said that where most guitarists organize their solos in phrases or sentences, Jerry thought in paragraphs.
Ok, switch bands already:
Oh yeah, you may also have figured out that I love me some Allman Brothers music!
Here's another band that I love.
Here's the song that was the first to cause me to turn off top 40 radio and listen to stuff that predated what was being marketed to my peers.
Between my stumbling into Zeppelin as a little kid, my older brother exposing me to the Grateful Dead, and growing up around my Dad's complete Beatles vinyl collection, and his Simon and Garfunkel, and CSNY collections, 80s mainstream music just didn't stand a chance. Thank FSM for that!
The dorklets and I thank you for sharing your time with us this Sunday morning. As always, we invite you to keep on spending some Sunday quality time with us. We'd love it is you would join us in the comments section to post some music and enjoy the company of our regular friends (and hopefully any new ones who may choose to join us).
Remember, Todd and Lila love you!
Vespa and Hope love you too.
