Talked to a young man who worked for the Obama campaign here in Arizona during the primaries earlier today. He's the Northwest Deputy Regional Field Director in Missouri, and he was emailing and calling all of his contacts asking for any help he could find:
One of my counties, Clay, was ranked one of the 10 must win counties for Obama nationwide.
You already know that Missouri is close. Many of you are panicked that Obama isn't doing as well now as he was doing in the summer. Well, stop worrying and start acting. Missouri is high on the list of battleground states needing help, so take the jump to see how you can help from right where you sit now.
First, can you make calls right now from where you are to Missouri? That's something that you can do today to have an immediate effect. You can call targeted undecided voters in Clay County and the surrounding areas.
Every call that you make puts us one step closer to taking our country back.
Once you sign up the Northwest Deputy Regional Field Director will give you access to a database of phone lists that you can access from the comfort of your own home. He will also provide a quick training conference call for everyone who is interested.
If you've never called before, and you're feeling unsure, join the Barack's Inspired Phone Bank Army group on the MyBO site, and they will help you every step of the way.
To sign up to make calls to this very important district in Missouri, go to this page on MyBO and sign up now.
Next, if you can travel to Missouri to volunteer on the ground, then you can make an even bigger difference. Trust me, traveling to help the campaign on the ground in a real battleground area is a very rewarding experience. You will not regret it.

P.S. Max says that the Mybo event says "Texas" but it’s meant for everyone. Also there is no event Wednesday at 12pm -- MyBO requires you enter a date/time, so they picked a random day/time.
Whenever you have an hour or two available to make calls, this district can use your help -- from now through election day.
Update from one of the commenters below:
Back in 2004, the office noted that it came down to 1 vote in Clay in 2000. Then Bush expanded on that and won by like 4 or 5, I think.
Also, wanted to add. They got 5 signups in the first 5 minutes that this was posted, so thanks bunches for signing up. They need lots and lots of help, though, he's got a huge region to cover, and they are behind the game. So, please, if you haven't signed up yet, please sign up. We can't let McCain squeak through -- we can't afford four more years like the last eight years.
