I will put my cards on the table and say I was an Edwards man and live in San Francisco.
First, let's put the penny on the tracks of the McPain Train. The religious right will not vote for him. Period. Therefore, Republican nominee John McCain gets crushed in the general election. End of story.
McHundred Years has a 30% donut he can't fill, not even with a Krispy Kreme.
So Hillary or Obama?
I prefer Obama, but think Hillary wouldn't be bad at all. I'll state up front I prefer Obama only because he's less committed to DC interests and, hopefully, less compromised than a long=term DC politirat like HRC.
I'm hopeful because I think both Hillary and Obama know that not only is our next president going to be a woman or a black man, but they will have a historic opportunity to lead a Congress of the same party towards a radically diferent vision of government. Neither Hillary or Obama is going to ignore the mandate for change and the opportunity to lead a Congress that can deliver the goods. Bush has destroyed the Republican Party for at least five years. He's got the Shite-as Touch.
Hillary is ambitious enough to know that this opportunity is historic. Republicans are stripped to the wing nuts. They suffer from Rovarian Cancer. They've been divided and divided and now they're splintered.
Here's a great economic idea. Everyone with a sub-prime mortgage should bet the h0use on D prez. Let the mob take the hit.
