I signed up for updates from General Wes Clark some time ago and just opened the most recent about two minutes before. The message was about Hillary Clinton and a Town Hall on live TV tonight:
"Hillary will be taking questions from audience members in New York and in 21 other locations in states that will be voting on Super Tuesday. And all the conversations will be connected by satellite.
I hope you'll tune in Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel or on HillaryClinton.com."
I've made my final decision to support Barack Obama and wonder how much (if any) impact something like this will have on tomorrow's vote. People can ask questions via Hillary's web site (Obama supporter, find your own link). I sent one in about why she's sinking to the level of negative push polls because I'd just read a diary here about it: Two minutes ago: Another anti-Obama push poll in CA . Reading about crap like that ticks me off more and more.
I know that the endorsements by the big names in the Kennedy family will certainly help Barack. I was watching Maria Schriver's speech last night. It was inspiring for several reasons: First Lady of California; wife of a well known Republican governor; Kennedy family member; well known and respected; very sincere in supporting Obama and saying she felt she needed to "do this".
In any event, I think it's an interesting innovation to buy time on TV and go live just before Super Tuesday (bet the Mittster wished he thought of it!). Smells a little of desperation and a lot of last minute hopefulness, but I can't recall any candidate ever doing this. Can anyone?
The most recent polls show more and more support for Barack and I swear I feel the electricity in the air that speaks of a storm of real change for our country.
Sorry for the quick post, but this seemed worthy of notice, and I admit to enough interest that I might watch, just to see what's what.
