I can be in favor of prosecuting both. I am, even. It doesn't lead me down a path where a lack of bank prosecutions somehow means there should be no prosecutions.

A key point of the cartoon has to deal with the double standard of justice.

There are plenty of examples but one of the most glaring for its moral obtuseness is the prosecution of John Kiriakou. So Kiriakou will go to jail but John Yoo, Dick Cheney, Jay Bybee and others who developed the torture regime and all the CIA guys who carried out der torture--excuse me, "enhanced interrogation"--orders walk free and unworried.

You may be in favor of whatever you like. The cartoon wasn't about the fantasy of how things work that you favor. It was about the skewed nature of contemporary "justice" [sic] in America. The powerful get coddled. The [politically] vulnerable get the iron fist.
