Trump is having an awful week, which is reflected in his crazier-than-usual Twitter feed attacking AG Jeff Sessions, who is the second-least sympathetic character in this entire shit-show. However, as Mueller’s indictments and various guilty pleas pile up against the Slovenly Occupant and expose his fixing of the 2016 Presidential election to his benefit, his attacks against Hillary Clinton are becoming more shrill.
The reason is obvious: Donald J. Trump stole the 2016 Presidential election with Russia’s help, (39 state election systems were hacked in the months before*). Trump has disparaged AG Sessions and tried to force him to resign since last year for two reasons: Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation, and he will not go after Hillary Clinton.
"To make a demand like this in public, while implying that the attorney general's job is in jeopardy, almost feels like an attempt at blackmail,'' said Patrick Cotter, who has prosecuted high-profile organized crime figures. "It reeks of a crude mob deal that even most mobsters wouldn't stoop to.
"I'm no fan of Attorney General Sessions, but I believe the president is threatening his own attorney general,'' Cotter continued. "He's essentially telling Sessions, 'If you want to keep your job, you better start an investigation of Hillary Clinton.' "
The reptilian brain of Donald J. Trump knows the American people will eventually have an Ah-Ha Moment the longer Mueller is Special Counsel and the more of his associates “flip”. His entire life will be laid bare and all will see him for the fraud that he is and the illegitimate President of the United States.
Malignant narcissists fear this scenario—being exposed as a fraud—more than anything. Their escape valve is to divert attention and to project. Given that Trump was actively involved in stealing the Presidential election, he has attacked Hillary Clinton since the campaign and continues to do so. Evidence is mounting against him and his Presidency. Special Counsel Robert Mueller has unearthed Trump’s modus operandi by both exposing his mob ties through money laundering, and by exposing his direct links to the Kremlin and election tampering during the campaign (Michael Cohen are there tapes?).
This suggests that Donald J. Trump will fire Jeff Beauregard Sessions as the AG in the coming weeks, and will install an AG who will go after Hillary Clinton precisely because she is the legitimate POTUS, and to delegitimize the Mueller investigation.
Think Trump won’t investigate and ‘trump up’ phony charges against Hillary Clinton with a willing AG? Think again. This is the man who signed off on the policy that steals tiny babies and children from their refugee parents. Kneecapping, ie, politically scapegoating/investigating/whipping up a frenzy against his biggest threat Hillary Clinton, the legitimate President no less, will be fun for him and will show all the strongmen of the world what a big Bad Boy he is.
Democratic Reps and Senators need to step-up their defense of Hillary Clinton through the same method Donald Trump is using: swaying public opinion. Get on the t.v., write Op-Ed’s, remind the American people that Clinton was investigated for YEARS and exonerated. They should actually use that word. A lot. They need to start now, for the sake of our democracy, as he has incessantly stoked that fire.
Today:
Two days ago: Crowd in W. Virginia chants “Lock her up!” as Trump smiles.
The chants were in response to GOP Senate candidate Patrick Morrissey’s comments on former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, but came just hours after two of Trump’s former allies were found guilty and pleaded guilty to crimes, respectively.
Morrissey criticized Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) for his praise of Clinton, saying that he called her “warm, compassionate, engaging.”
“Can you actually believe that?” Morrissey said, at which point the crowd began the chant.
The crowd also chanted “drain the swamp.”

Late last year:
During the campaign: the second debate
A cornered Donald Trump prowled the presidential debate stage on Sunday, threatening to jail an opponent he called “the devil” in a last-ditch bid to staunch his hemorrhaging campaign hopes.
Swaying malevolently behind Hillary Clinton as she parried attacks on everything from her husband’s sex life to Wall Street and her foreign policy judgment, the Republican dominated the night but made little effort to seduce new voters.
Instead, he began the night by assembling a group of women in a press conference to revisit alleged sexual assaults by Bill Clinton, before confronting his opponent hardest on her private email server.
“OK Donald, I know you are into big diversion tonight,” shot back Clinton. “Anything to get away from your campaign and how Republicans are deserting you.

*Lest we forget, Trump will allow Russia to steal the Midterm elections to keep Republicans in power so that he can keep up the facade of his legitimacy.
(Bloomberg) In Illinois, investigators found evidence that cyber intruders tried to delete or alter voter data. The hackers accessed software designed to be used by poll workers on Election Day, and in at least one state accessed a campaign finance database. Details of the wave of attacks, in the summer and fall of 2016, were provided by three people with direct knowledge of the U.S. investigation into the matter. In all, the Russian hackers hit systems in a total of 39 states, one of them said....
...The new details, buttressed by a classified National Security Agency document recently disclosed by the Intercept, show the scope of alleged hacking that federal investigators are scrutinizing as they look into whether Trump campaign officials may have colluded in the efforts. But they also paint a worrisome picture for future elections: The newest portrayal of potentially deep vulnerabilities in the U.S.’s patchwork of voting technologies comes less than a week after former FBI Director James Comey warned Congress that Moscow isn’t done meddling.
“They’re coming after America,” Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee investigating Russian interference in the election. “They will be back.”
Lacking direction from White House, intelligence agencies scramble to protect midterm elections from hackers: (WaPo, July 27, 2018)
With the midterm election only a few months away, government officials working to counter election interference from Russia have been operating with no strategy from the top, including from President Donald Trump's fractured National Security Council, leaving each agency to fend for itself without White House support or direction, according to lawmakers and national security officials who spoke with CNN.
We must protect Hillary Clinton, and our democracy, from that animal.
